ISS Will Broadcast First Streaming HD Video of Earth, it's more than google earth.

A Canadian company called UrtheCast and Roscosmos, the Russian space agency, will corporate to setup a new system that provides a view Earth  from space, via the Internet and a pair of cameras flying on the International Space Station. 

One camera will shoot in high-definition, with a frame rate of 3.25 fps, and another will broadcast in lower resolution, offering a three-color image. This system  is a sort of "Mix" between Google Earth and YouTube. Services like connecting live footage with maps and other capabilities will be provides.  Users will be able to pause, rewind and zoom, and view specific times and locations.

UrtheCast hopes to launch the cameras later this year and start broadcasting by early 2012. Watch the dramatic trailer below.

Lytro introduce new auto-focus camera

Lytro, has announced a new auto-focus camera, after the promess of its creator 
Ren Nga, who confirmed earlier, that will be the start of "a picture revolution."


 
This new camera allows picture's focus to be adjusted after it's already taken, you can bring people (from pictures) to the foreground or switch the focus to the background. 
the camera uses multiple internal lenses to capture much more light than a normal camera, at more than one angle. this new technology called "light field camera,"  The best new that it can also transfer a regular photo to 3-D.


PS : Lytro, the companythat just debuted has reportedly already raised $50 million in venture capital, an impressive feat. with this New  auto-focus camera, it's a revolution.

new domain names available

by the end of next year, you will be able to set up a website with your custom address and domain name , just if you have a legitimate claim to the domain name and can pay. 


Today the Internet Corporation for Assigned names and Number ICANN decided to end of suffixes such as .com, .co.uk, or .gov. and  will receive applications for new names from January 12 next year with the first approvals likely by the end of 2012.
companies such as Apple, Microsft, Sun, oracle, sony ..... will be able to have their own domain names .apple, .MS, .sun, .sony.... For a fee of $185,000, (£114,000 app), they just need to show a legitimate claim to the desired name.
"It's the next expansion of the Internet, it's the future of the Internet," said Kieren McCarthy, the CEO of .Nxt,Inc, a San Francisco-based company which covers Internet policy and governance issues.

Huawei unveils 7-inch Android 3.2 tablet

iPad production in Brazil in September; Apple posts new iPad 2 ad

Brazil's Minister of Science and Technology has revealed that Foxconn is scheduled to start iPad production in the country in September, while Apple has posted a new ad showcasing the iPad 2.
The Minister Aloízio Mercadante said that Apple had planned to begin production of the table in late July, but had pushed the start date back to late August or early September
Apple on Friday posted a new ad for the iPad 2 on its website and YouTube channel. Entitled 


"Now," the ad highlights new opportunities made possible by the touchscreen tablet. "Now we can watch a newspaper, listen to a magazine, curl up with a movie and see a phone call," the ad states. "Now we can take a classroom everywhere, hold an entire bookstore and touch the stars, because now, there's this."
